SUMMER READING PROGRAMMING GRANT

    Thanks to a generous gift from the Kansas Health Foundation, the Kansas Library Association is pleased to announce a one-time literacy grant opportunity. A library may apply for funds to defray the cost of developing and marketing their 2020 online summer reading program.

    Funding tiers:

    LSA up to 1,000 - $300.00

    LSA 1000 – 10,000 - $600.00

    LSA 10,000+ - $1,000.00

    Criteria

    1. Must be a current KLA member in order to apply for your library
    2. Kansas libraries only
    3. Grant funds are for the purchase of technology (hardware, software, apps) for summer reading program programming and marketing. Funds may not be used for consumables or any items that require in person contact with library patrons including prizes.
    4. Items eligible for funding must have a purchase date after March 30, 2020, the date of the Kansas state shut down.
    5. Grant applications open May 1 and require a narrative and budget. Grant applications close May 29, 2020. Grants will be reviewed and funded in the chronological order they were received.
    6. Final evaluative report is due by September 30, 2020
