Membership for the Children’s Libraries Section is open to all interested KLA members. This section serves as a forum for discussion and action on concerns in children’s and school library service. It provides a link between public and school children’s library professionals.

The Children’s Libraries Section sponsors KANKID-L. This list is designed to serve section members, but is open to all library professionals interested in topics relating specifically to children and young adults. Discussions include sharing of resources, children’s programming ideas, forming partnerships betwen public and school libraries, KLA Conference programs, and other children’s issues.

I am interested in speaking to families about my book, LITTLE PIANO GIRL, the story of Mary Lou Williams, the first lady of jazz. Houghton Mifflin released this book in January of 2010.

How might I connect with librarians in Kansas to do thia?

I have approximately 50 presentation in Kansas, Missouri, and Washington, DC this past year.

    All best to you,

    Ann Ingalls
