What is the Foundation?

The Kansas Library Association Educational Foundation (KLAEF) is dedicated to providing grants and scholarships for the members of the Kansas Library Association and assisting the KLA conference through financial sponsorship. KLAEF is a non-profit organization.

Details for Special Gifts

KLAEF in  2013
  • Will host the “Baskets” fundraiser at Kansas Library Conference.
  • Will provide $2000 to Kansas Library Conference for a keynote speaker.
  • Will provide $1000 in continuing education grants (four-$250 grants).
  • Will provide 10-$100 mini-grants for KLA members to attend Kansas Library Conference.
  • Will provide 1-$500 scholarship for one KLA member to pay towards a master degree in library or information science.

KLAEF in Previous Years

  • Provided 20 continuing education grants in the past 3 years. (2009-2012)
  • 2012 Conference raised $2,353 with 30 baskets give-aways at the KLA Conference.
  • The FOKL Board donated $200.00 in honor of their Leadership Award Winners, Cindi Hickey and Shannon Roy. (2012)
