Call for Proposals

Please use the form below to submit your proposal for the 2014 Kansas Library Conference, "Out of the Stacks: Engaging Communities, Promoting Learning," October 29-31 at the Hyatt Regency in Wichita. We are accepting submissions for all of the following types of proposals: 50 minute breakout sessions, pre-conferences, business meetings and meals / social events. A call for proposals for Poster Sessions will be sometime in the early summer. Proposals are due by Monday May 12, 2014.

Your conference coordinators will meet to determine which programs are selected. Program selection will be based upon physical space at the conference site and ensuring that there is a broad range of interests represented. Those selected will be notified of acceptance by Monday, June 15, 2014.

Please Note: In general, presenters are required to register for the conference and are not reimbursed for expenses. Presenters must be a member of one of the sponsoring organizations (KASL, KLA, KAECT, KSDE) in order to present a session at the conference OR be a vendor who has paid for a booth in the exhibitors area. Presenters are expected to be available to present their session on the date and time designated by the conference committee. Due to space limitations at the conference site, this year's program selection will be a more competitive process.

Questions? Send them to Terri Summey, KLA at tsummey@emporia.edu and Nancy McFarlin, KASL at nancy.mcfarlin@usd352.org.
