Highlights of this year's conference include:

  • Opening Keynote: R. David Lankes, professor and Dean's Scholar for the New Librarianship at Syracuse University's School of Information Studies, director of the library science program for the school, and director of the Information Institute of Syracuse. Also, author of the Atlas of New Librarianship.
  • Closing Keynote: Larry Hatteberg, Anchor/Reporter for KAKE-TV.
  • An Evening with Cory Doctorow, science fiction author, activist, journalist and blogger. Also the co-editor of Boing Boing (boingboing.net) and the author of the bestselling Tor Teens/HarperCollins UK novel LITTLE BROTHER.
  • Author event with Clare Vanderpool, author and Distinguished Kansan. Sponsored by Public Library Section.
